What do Earth and sun have in common?

Can you tell us anything about the constitution of the sun—is it a material body similar to our earth?

It is similar in constitution, and governed by the laws, which regulate your world. The earth and other planets with their satellites revolve round the sun—the sun again revolves round another great body and its satellites, and so on, suns and systems, all under the same great controlling law, which keeps all in beautiful order, revolve round the grand Centre, the dwelling place of the great and mighty Spirit. He is the Source of Light, which is reflected from sun to sun, world to world—over all systems that float in the boundless ocean of space.

That great Central Sun must surely be an immense body?

Yes, and I find it a difficult thing to convey to you the idea of its size.

Let us see.

Suppose you were to take the smallest grain of sand, and drop it on your sun, the contrast would be great indeed, but were that sun to be dropped on the grand Centre, it would be but as a grain of sand—all would be swallowed up within its vast embrace.

Is there music in the spirit world?

Music being such a vital element in the world of spirit, it is not surprising that a grand building should be devoted to the practice, teaching, and the fostering of every description of music.

There are laws of music here, which have no application to the earth whatever because the earth is neither sufficiently progressed on the one hand, and on the other because the spirit world is of spirit, while the earth world is of matter.

Earthly ears are not attuned to music that is essentially of the spirit realms.

As students acquire a mastery over their instrument they can join one of the many orchestras that exist hereor they can limit their performance to their many friends.

In the spirit world all music is colour, and all colour is music.

The one is never existent without the other.

That is why the flowers give forth such pleasant tones when they are approached—the water that sparkles and flashes colours is also creating musical sounds of purity and beauty.

The eye is not wearied by the fullness of colour here.

The sounds are in perfect accord with the colours, as the colours are with the sounds. And the perfect combination of both sight and sound is perfect harmony.

Harmony is a fundamental law here.

There can be no confliction.

I do not suggest that spirits are in a state of perfection.

They should be in an immensely higher realm if they were, but they are in perfection in so far as this realm is concerned.

If spirits, as individuals, become more perfect than the realm in which they live, they, ipso facto, become worthy of advancing to a higher state, and they do so. But while they are where they are, in this realm or higher, they are living in a state of perfection according to the limits of that realm.

Here it is part of their life, not because they make it so, but because it is part of natural existence, as are flowers and trees, grass and water and hills and dales.

It is an element of spiritual nature.

Without it a vast deal of the joy would depart out of their lives.

They do not need to become master-musicians to appreciate the wealth of music that surrounds them in colour and sound, but, as in so many other features of this life, they accept and enjoy to the full, and in the enjoyment of their heritage, they can afford to smile at those who persist in believing that they live in a world of emptiness.

Who is the architect of the universe?

Be attentive to manifestations, welcoming them from the broad expanse of the Universe spread before it for evidence of a Supreme Being.

Take these things home to your mind and adore them as the work of the great Intelligence who ushers into existence all things by that life-principle manifested in the smallest flower, insect―or sands upon the seashore. It does not matter where you look, you are met by a voice calling you to behold the works of the great Maker of the Universe!

What brings you joy?

There comes a time when all is silent among the woodlands and fields and rivers, then comes the bursting of the buds, and Spring flows anew through the veins of everything in mortal life—the awaking after the winter sleep.

How sweet the air filled with the outputting of the buds—how joyous is all Nature!

The little birds will soon be with you, as the first messengers.

They will sing and rejoice and become infused with the homebuilding instinct.

Then, the little eggs, so carefully placed in nests of such weave, as no mortal hand has ever been able to imitate.

Next the little new lives, which soon grow to maturity, and flood the air with their sweet songs.

Ah, dear friend, we have the same here, only far, far more in advance.

I might say that the birds of these higher planes are in accordance with their surroundings.

All is in order of progression among feathered creation, as with the once mortal form of the spirit.

Grand and glorious is it all.

Keep thy mind upon these beauties that the trials and sorrows of the present life may fade behind and away.

It is all as ye thinketh.

In ye mind ye make or mar thy mortal life, for it leadeth ye, therefore, let its influence be in the right direction ever.

Think and think deeply.

The cheerful face ever helps, not hinders, careful thought.
