Do not imagine that you feel yourself a saint or an angel. 

The sense of imperfection is still with you.

There are heights to scale which you have not dreamed of―there are depths of infinite love which you have not even attempted to fathom.

And the more you see and know and understand the divine love, the more you feel lost in the contrast between the immensity of His love and the infinitesimal meagerness of your own soul.

What is the mechanism in which the spirit lives?

Sensation is a thing of the outward mechanism in which the spirit lives. 

All that is needed in that body is a mechanism, whereby, under physical conditions, the incarnate soul may acquire the experience necessary for its evolution. 

The conditions of that mechanism are sensation and consciousness. 

Consciousness is needed in some cases not continuous with life. The mechanism sometimes lives on where consciousness manifesting through the body appears to be extinct. There is, for instance, no consciousness of existence during sound sleep. But life continues. And the senses feel even in sleep.

When sensation ends, the death of the body begins. There is no such thing as the death of the soul at any rate of its development.

What you call life is sensation and consciousness of being occasioned by the sense of sensation.

Your life is open to the eyes of invisible spirits.

Remember; your life is open to the eyes of those invisible spirits who are permitted to see what you think and hear what you say. You are encompassed about by a far greater company of witnesses than you imagine.

Flood your life with loving thoughts—it is the heart's blood of divine love in you. If you can do nothing else, think of those who have mingled their lives with yours. Feel in every nerve, the quickening stimulus of sympathy and affection. After all, who can estimate the means of grace which thereby would be opened to your fellow beings?

What is the reign of law?

The will of God, which is deciphered here and in the world of spirits as law, stretches unbroken from this side to the other side. 

You will find that spirits who have been able to see and feel and know that God is love will also tell you that love, no more on this side than the other side, precludes pain and suffering and the phenomena of imperfection. 

Spirits have not attained. 

They press forward to the mark of their high calling in the spirit world as on earth.
