The Bit of God in You

The Ego cannot be defined―it could be anywhere in space.

It is the Divine Spark―

It is not in your body, but is connected with it by a very fine thread―or tube.

When the drop of Godforce breaks away from God to come to Earth and animate a human body, part of it remains behind―this part is the Ego, the reservoir of divinity.

It is severed from the body at death―never from the spirit―for you are always connected with God—disconnection would mean annihilation.

As you desire to draw from the Godforce, the tube connecting you with that strengthens and enlarges and increases your capacity to receive it.

When the drop of Godforce that makes the spirit of Humanitas separates from God and comes to the world, it divides into halves and goes to two separate mothers―thus a boy and girl are always born from each drop.

In fact―

On the earth plane, things are generally constituted with a counterpart―an opposite―they are male and female―positive and negative.

The union of these creates the proper balance and produces something.

The positive is described as the transmitter―

The negative as the receiver―

Certain plants are positive and negative, and it is their union by fertilisation, which produces the fruit―it is the mingling of sun and rain, which makes conditions for the growth and health of vegetation.

If you cultivate mental qualities alone, and neglect your body, you become unhealthy―if you live only in the senses―or physical, you become a clod―you must choose the happy medium between the ideal and the practical.

If you are receptive (by putting yourself in the right condition physically, mentally and spiritually), you expand the channel―or tube that connects you with God―you prepare yourself to receive the power, which is projected down that tube to you. 

If you prepare yourself to receive it, you can get all you will of God and expand like a flower.

The bit of God in you is im—or rather unpersonal―

It is sent to become personal and to so develop and go back to God impersonal, but no longer unpersonal.

It is a bit of life, but has no individuality—it has to grow and develop here.

It takes a long time to develop a fine, true personality―a whole personality—more than one earth life, as a rule.

Some people have a certain amount of personality, but it is all one-sided―to be complete, it must be many-sided.

A real whole personality is one that is perfectly balanced―or as nearly as possible who is physically, mentally and spiritually in the right proportion.

The soul is like a rough diamond―the beauty of which is concealed until it is cut and polished.

The earth is the workshop in which the cutting and polishing will be done.

It is easier to be good and to know what is right than you realise, for the little bit that connects you with God is always tugging at you, and you do not understand you can get all you want if you will only link up to receive it.

The little bit of God tries to work on your soul, your soul to affect your mind, your mind to control your body.

This is a rule―

While in the body you cannot reach the God part of yourself except through these intermediate states―

You cannot touch the Divine without working through the mental and spiritual―these states are dependent on each other.

When the physical and mental work in harmony, it is a good big step forward―

When the mental and physical work well, there is hope for the spiritual because the spiritual is dependent on unison―it cannot enter into inharmonious conditions.

The person does not have the correct poise―or balance.
