It is absurd to say so.
The heat, which you get from the Sun does not come from a body of fire, but arises from the position, which the Earth occupies in relation to the Sun.
You do not get heat from the Moon, and yet you have light therefrom.
The Earth absorbs the heat produced by the Sun's rays, and not only absorbs, but according to the season of the year, throws off the heat.
Take a crystal, and place it at a certain focus, and you absorb the heat, but put it out of focus, and you lose the heat.
The nearer you approach the Sun, the less heat you have.
According to the position of the Earth, and other bodies in relation to the Sun, so is the heat.
