There is only one truth for the soul, and that truth is union with the Light whence it originated.

We incarnate in matter to experience it, and then we return to the Source or Cosmic Oversoul. That is all. 

But to return to the Source, one must be purified from contact with matter. If you can accomplish this after one existence, that is perfect bliss, but it is rare. Most of the time, the soul must incarnate several times before it is completely free of corruption. To experience matter fully, it must be divided into two halves, male and female. That is its true essence. To return to the Source, both halves must be purified and united beforehand.
