Form is necessary—we are the combination of several component parts—each taken separately or collectively forms a constituent division of the human machine.
All includes you. All else can be nought compared to this mechanism of God's handiwork.
Every part is so adapted, as to allow of no interference from Nature, aside from laws, governing it for some particular purpose. These different properties of which we are composed are undergoing continual changes, manifested in various forms, and when taken in their true relation compose all we claim as the machine through which the spirit gives its manifestations.
What can engross your mind with more interest than the different parts of your body, and the changes taking place by which your existence is maintained and you are enabled to thrive and reach the standard of maturity?
In following humanity through the various combinations, composing the external and interior development of its organisation, we perceive that all tends to fetch the soul into recognition.
To this intent are you adapted, shaping the faculties to centre the soul in you, making you an inhabitant of the soul in this life, as much as hereafter—the future being but a continuation of this.
You aspire to nothing beyond what the soul imbibes. The soul is a combination of essential principles, giving outward manifestations of the inner being and recalling sublime thoughts, which go to make the whole.
Such is humanity collectively designated as the image of his maker.
