Study that statement, please.

There is neither destruction―nor pain―nor failure of any sort that the soul who loves has not the power to dispel.

Study that statement, please.

You have to dig a little way beneath the surface.

The law is simple, but its aspects are manifold―each aspect appearing to you like another law.

You look always at the surface of things.

Even people of intellectual development do so.

One has to dig but a little way beneath the surface to discover the common root.

Expect the best, then hunt for it with vigour.

God lies within you, waiting until you discover His presence―

Then, like the small child who discovers his father in hiding, with a glad cry you clasp your own.

It is as though you sit in the dark with an electric switch within arm's reach, which when touched would send a flood of light about you.

The energetic, curious person, sitting so, would feel about, expecting to find the means of light, while the inert would sit quietly accepting the dark as inevitable―or lamenting loudly about his desolate condition.

Expect the best, then hunt for it with vigour.

You are your own.

In all my study, this one thing stands out as if written in lines of fire.

You are your own, and what is more your only destruction.

Be earnest in your desire to know the truth.

Conventions have not deterred you from thinking things out for yourself.

One must play the game.

Demonstrate your good right now.

Demonstrate your good right now.

Today is the day!

Learn to think and speak kindly of others.

People may commit what is called an unspeakably deadly sin on your plane because of great unselfish love
one to the other.

Well, they will have to bear the consequences of the wrongdoing, but the absorbing affection the one had for the other will go a long way towards shortening the discipline.

The same with many other acts, which do not stand so much in the limelight of public opinion.

Not many sins are committed from absolutely unworthy motives, there is generally a spark of affection for some other person mixed up with it.

All this talk about the horrible wickedness of sin is true to a certain extent, but the righteous Pharisee is very apt to confuse the sin and the sinner and to refuse to distinguish between the two.

When our Master was last on the earth, one of the most important commands He gave to the people was this
judge notthat meant because they could not know all the circumstances that led a person to commit some unworthy act, and would, therefore, be incapable of giving a fair opinion.

There is much of that kind of judging on the earth, only it is called criticisma milder expression of the same thing.

All of you must learn to appreciate the real meaning of the word charity.

You do not know how much the spoken thought can influence another person
or what harmor good it may, and can do.

But we know it here, and the message for you today is to learn to think and speak kindly of others.

If they cannot speak kindly, at least, let them be silent.

This is an important message, and one that is very badly needed.

You should make life an example.

I am sitting alone in the twilight
In the hush of the closing day,
And a feeling of rapture steals o'er me
And my thoughts they are far away.

I am thinking tonight of heaven,
That beautiful land so fair
Of the angels so pure and spotless,
Who dwell in harmony there.

I have heard of that beautiful country
That God in His wisdom has made
I have heard of its joys supernal,
Of its flowers that never fade.

I have longed to walk through that city—
That beautiful land of my dreams
Where dross is not mixed with the golden
And life there is just what it seems.

I have pictured often the Saviour
With his matchless face all aglow,
Walking among his disciples
In raiment all white like the snow.

Lo! o'er my enraptured vision
Comes a something that seems like a spell
I have caught just a glimpse of that country
Far away where the angels dwell.

I can hear the glad strains of their music
As softly it comes floating near
Oh! rapturous tones of heaven
Falling so sweetly on my ear.

But alas! it has gone all too quickly
My vision of Heaven is o'er,
And I think of life and its promise
As I never had thought before.

And I think how far from God's purpose
The most of our lives are led—
We are so weak, my Father,
Calling to Thee for bread.

We should make life an example
Strong with truth, faith and love
Make our lives a structure
That shall rise to the heights above.

Your future is spotless!

Remember; no matter what your past may have been, your future is spotless.

Life is the thing you bring with you.

Life is the thing you bring with you inside your own head.

—Sally Rooney

Surrender your will to God.

Surrender your will to God―

Trust that He knows best and then happiness
can come inside and hold its own against all the enemies without.

The faith and the trust are there―

God does the rest.
