All is God!

Nothing is mean – nothing is insignificant – nothing can ever be. We are not the makers of anything that exists, consequently we have no right to despise anything whatever, not even the smallest insect or worm. Life does not originate with us; we simply observe it and the nearer we approach angelhood the less we feel like despising anything that exists within the universe, for all is God; All is God!

Why the forms of everything you have on earth are contained within a small ethereal germ – spiritual germ – which must he held within all earthly seed, whatever its kind, and each after its kind – and right here is where man makes a fatal mistake, for the spiritual germs of everything in existence or that ever did or ever will exist are forever within the ethereal atmosphere, and as this ether penetrates through the material atmosphere the flowers of all vegetation attract and hold, each its kind; so of all animals, so of all men. Men and animals breathe or inhale these germs; the male, or positive element, holds what can be made use of, the others escape – for they are indestructible in the exhalations of the breath or through the pores of the skin or through any or all organs of the body. The first form of anything does not hold the seed of all that is to come after, within itself. Such an idea is absolutely ridiculous, but the parent of anything forms the seed of that which is to immediately follow, by having the power to hold the spiritual germ. Forms have gradually evolved one after another, but they do not evolve the spiritual germs, but each male form is able to hold germs, which he inhales from the atmosphere, for the next generation which is to follow; this, then, completes the circle. At the age of puberty the next generation inhales and holds other germs which are the seeds of a future generation, and this is true of all vegetable and animal life.

Now you ask me about heredity. The spiritual germ has nothing to do with heredity. It is absolutely pure and undefiled, but as it takes on its first material clothing from the being who holds it, the flesh inherits all, or at least many of the traits of the parents. The father first clothes the ethereal germ in his blood and if his flesh is filled with vileness he clothes the germ accordingly and is even more responsible for the hereditary tendencies of the child than the mother. She does not furnish the life or the living principle –  the germ – she is negative and has not the power to hold them – she is female – but she furnishes the egg, or ovum; the germ therein finds lodgment and is nourished by the contents of the egg until it has taken on sufficient material to be hatched or thrown into the material world. If the germ is that of a mammal the egg falls, after a short time when it is ready, into the womb, there it is nourished by the blood of the mother until ready to be born.

Heredity is simply that which is inherited from the material with which the father or mother has clothed the germ. This is also the reason why children resemble their parents, but the soul, the inner principle, is not tainted in the least, for sooner or later, either in the material, or spiritual, or celestial life, it becomes perfect as at first and has progressed up through the material, the spiritual, the celestial gradually throwing off all impurities on its course  until it is a God-angel, or arch-angel, or the wisest and best angel that man can possibly conceive of and man cannot conceive of such an angel while yet he is so small and unprogressed as to be a man within a material body.

Spirit exists within all living things

Spirit exists within all living things and ascends to the next life when those things appear to die or decay on earth.

We have everything there that we do here; we have vast forests, plains, mountains, rivers, seas, oceans, vegetation of all kinds, animal and insect life in their various forms, flowers, shrubbery, rivulets, ponds; nothing is left out and there is much added that we have never seen, for there is also all that the past can give.

Not the slightest thing goes to waste

Our spirit is a receptacle, a vast store-house and not the slightest thing goes to waste. Our soul makes use of everything which is stored within it, for not even an atom can be lost within the great whole – not a thought or an incident fades, disappears or is lost.

Through memory and memory alone

We lose our dearest friends by so-called death and our tearful soul cries out – Come back to me, my beloved; tell me if you are happy and content – do you still love me – do you remember? and the answer to our cry is ready and awaiting us but soul answers soul and through soul and in no other way.  There is no way by which soul can answer soul except by the exercise of memory.  The friend on earth remembers the friend he has lost – the lost friend also remembers the friend he has left. The memory of one coalesces with the other and the two souls are joined to each other once more through memory and memory alone.

The true male and female form the angel

All progressed angels are joined to the other halves of themselves – the true male and female forming the angel.

Not one little thought or event is blurred or indistinct

We forget nothing that ever transpired in our life on earth – not the smallest detail.  We even remember every thought we ever evolved, everything which ever met our eye, every sound we ever heard, every sensation we ever felt, every being we ever came in contact with; all are stored in our memory to be unrolled like a scroll whenever we so desire.

We are eternal drops within the Eternal Spirit of the whole which is God

We forget nothing – from the least to the greatest, all remain indelibly stamped on the soul forever. The angel takes cognisance of all that ever was or is or ever will be.  One might as well say that God forgets.  Who can imagine God forgetting anything? 

Immortal and intelligent spirit

The great law that steps in to counteract the vibratory law is the law of photography.  When a thought or thing is once photographed on the spirit, it is set there throughout eternity.  Spirit is composed of something more than vibrations and is governed by every law pertaining to the universal whole.  Even stalks and stones retain the images or impressions of all that has ever passed before them within the range of the shadow cast on them.  The day is not far distant when many will know how to reveal these photographic pictures.

Immortal ego never forgets

The ethereal atmosphere is a vast reservoir or storehouse – one grand picture gallery of all that takes place on the earth.  When we throw aside the material body we can read all that has ever taken place in past ages, all pictured with greater distinctness and more vividly than when they actually transpired on the earth.  These pictures are not stationary and move as if endowed with life.  We are just beginning to grasp this law but, as yet, very crudely to what will be attained in the future.

Remember – Good deeds done with unkind thoughts behind them lose all their value, like water poured out on the sand.

Time does not exist in the sight of God

Time does not exist in the sight of God; that's an earth limitation. Time ceases when the soul leaves the material world or rather the grosser kind of material world because it is material in my home here, only of a finer kind, and it has to learn that there is no such thing; it is all present, all eternity, and there is no need for the rush and turmoil of the life on the earth. The only thing in which we might perhaps say that there was a conception of time is when we have special bits of work to do and cannot stay long with friends on the earth.

Cultivate a cheerful thankfulness

Everything that is good and beautiful on the earth is to be enjoyed by the soul while still incarnate in the physical body and a spirit of cheerful thankfulness to be cultivated by all. Glorious sunsets, beautiful flowers and moonlight on the river mean beauty and beauty is worship and thought of God in material form.

The very first few minutes after the soul has left the earthly body

No two individuals have exactly the same experiences but all think they are still alive, that is, immediately afterwards. Those who have had to suffer very severe pain are surprised to find they are well. Sometimes people feel awfully frightened at first and very much alone but they are comforted and helped by their own guide as soon as they are able to perceive him. Almost everyone rests for a time, perhaps only for a day or two or perhaps weeks and months, it all depends on the circumstances of their passing. After people have rested, their guides come to them and they are told what their training will be. Before their rest, those who are united by very strong ties of affection meet. Those who came over when they were too young to remember their own mothers are brought to be recognised and those who remember their mothers are told that the mother had come over at last. It doesn't matter how many years have passed or that the young baby has grown to full manhood or womanhood in the spirit world or that the young mother is an old mother now, the recognition is mutual and instantaneous, if the bond of devoted affection is there. Those people who have to undergo a very long discipline are allowed to see their friends for a moment, if the erring soul has been always remembered on our side. The sorrow of a spiritual mother who has seen the utter downfall and wreck of a son on earth is one of the saddest things to see in our world. At the same time, that mother knows the justice of the discipline and can wait and pray and hope. Nothing can keep two souls apart who really love each other and nothing but love can bring them together.
