If you could only get a glimmering, sadness—as sadness—would not exist.
You would see in each trouble, each pang, not only God's love but the love within, which, striving to reach Him in sympathy, chooses the hardest road that courage allows.
God sets the example of service, just as God, in Christ upon earth, bathed the feet of the disciples.
Think things out for yourself—understand that this little life—so brief, so passing—is but preparation, for the real life, for the life, which has no end.
More than anything else, understand something of the Mind of the Beloved.
For when—by your work, by your effort, by your wish for service—you will pass through the Summerland and enter those realms, which are Spirit indeed.
