Does everything pass through a change?

Like attracts like, from the material on up to the spiritual. 

The rose that is red in colour attracts the magnetic aura, which develops it with that brilliant hue. And so we trace it from the vegetable kingdom in its thousands of varieties to the animal in its thousand varieties to the human in his thousand varieties. 

Everything passes through a change. 

Observe the vegetable closely. You can only perfect it by cultivation—giving conditions to the mineral in its soil promotes its material development—its flavour develops with its perfect growth. So with the spirit of man, it develops with the vegetation of the body. 

A gross organisation cannot develop a pure spirit. 

Giving too much to the material, the spirit is drawn to the material, desires only to gratify the material, consequently, it adheres entirely to the material.
