The Vibration of Leadership
In the study of the Soul of Things, we recognize that words are not merely descriptions of reality—they are the architects of it. When a leader speaks, they release a vibration that ripples through the collective consciousness of a nation. The rhetoric of the 2017–2021 period represents a significant shift in the American "lexicon," where the traditional "measured" language of the State was replaced by a "Combatant Style." These words, once spoken, become eternal waves—self-fulfilling prophecies that build or destroy based on their intent. To understand our current affairs, we must first analyze the frequency of the words that brought us here.
The Taxonomy of Conflict
The following tables categorize the specific linguistic tools used to redefine political and social boundaries during the first term of the 45th President.
Table 1—Institutional & Global Rhetoric
Category Terms & Phrases Intent & Context Media & Information "Enemy of the People," "Fake News," "Sick people." To delegitimize the "Fourth Estate" and bypass traditional accountability. Nations & Regions "Shithole countries" (2018), "The China Virus." To signal a U.S.-centric worldview by diminishing the dignity of foreign sovereign states. Social Movements "Thugs," "Anarchists," "Sons of bitches." Used to frame civil rights protests (e.g., NFL kneeling) as inherent threats to national honor. Table 2 outlines the dehumanization of the "Other"—
| Category | Terms & Phrases | The "Self-Fulfilling" Impact |
| Immigration | "Animals," "Invaders," "Infest," "Bad Hombres." | Reframes a complex human policy issue as a biological or military threat. |
| Personal Identity | "Pocahontas," "Low IQ," "Horseface," "Dog." | Uses minutiae of heritage or appearance to strip a critic of their professional standing. |
The Architecture of the "Combatant Style" and the "Infest" Lexicon
On 19 June 2018, the use of the word "infest" regarding immigration marked a historical pivot. By choosing biological terminology, the rhetoric moved beyond political disagreement and into the realm of dehumanization. In the vibration of the soul of things, such words create a psychological landscape where "cleansing" or "removal" becomes a logical conclusion to the prophecy.
The 2020 Debate—"Stand Back and Stand By"
During the 29 September 2020 debate, the directive to the Proud Boys to "stand by" created an eternal wave of expectation. Linguists and historians note that this was not a condemnation but a "placeholder" for future action. We see the reverberations of this specific vibration in the events that followed in early 2021.
The Self-Fulfilling Prophecy
The "Architecture of Insults" relied on tactical nicknaming to brand opponents (e.g., "Crooked," "Sleepy"). This lexicon served to polarize public discourse, bypassing traditional media filters and creating a highly identifiable "brand" of leadership communication. It prioritized "plain speaking" over decorum, ultimately creating a reality where conflict is the default state of existence.
Counterbalancing the Vibration
The danger of demeaning language is that it acts as a self-fulfilling prophecy of destruction. When we label the "other" as an "animal" or an "infestation," we invite a reality where empathy is extinguished. However, as we observe these eternal waves, we must remember that they are not unopposed. Vibrations of discord can only be overcome with a conscious "counterbalance." For every word of demeaning "minutiae," there must be an equal and more powerful action of human-powered authenticity. To change the future, we must change the frequency of our thoughts and the essence of our words. By documenting these patterns, we take the first step in ensuring they do not become our permanent destiny.
