How do spirits see into both worlds?

You may wonder how it is that spirits pass easily from their world to ours—seeing into both.

Our world and the world of spirits occupy about the same space—the plane of the earth’s surface is one of the lower and more material planes of the spirit—using the word plane, as you would use the word layer. There are also places accessible to spirits, which lie at some distance above the earth’s surface.
