Why is spiritual growth difficult?

Spiritual growth is a very delicate thing.

The growth of the spirit is a very delicate thing inasmuch as the trivial can retard that growth, as well as the dynamic forces of evil, which are thrown against it.

And you are here to grow—to grow in the likeness of God, your Father and Mother. You are here to make the most of the opportunity provided by Love. You are here to guard the treasure within because hereafter any neglect will cause you anguish because the cry is always the same—
