Your greatness does not depend upon your knowledge and position; nor by these alone can you be great.
You are as great as you can be useful to others, and the usefulness of your life to others depends on your service to them.
Hence, in so far as you can serve others in love, just so far are you great. As the Lord said, But whosoever will be great among you let him be your servant (Matt. xx. 26). The joy of all those that dwell in heaven is found in this—that they serve one another in love, and thus fulfilling the object of their lives, they remain forever in the presence of God.
