Suspended in the light that permeates the Vestibule of Souls like a radiant cloud, souls sink slowly into the healing sleep in which the spirit regains its energies prior to entering a new life. All around one, the tenuous shapes of other souls float on shimmering rows that extend into the infinite. Here they enjoy the ephemeral blessing of spiritual rest.
