Those who suffer, and some suffer greatly, know that in God's sight such afflictions of the body are counted as gifts direct to Him because of the love of the greater self within—that all-seeing, all-wise self, which is able to look beyond the present and to see in the great hereafter what it has brought in the way of holiness.
