That is a figurative expression meaning to him who would injure you, you must return good.
Such figures of speech were very common in Persia, India, and among all Eastern nations.
Jesus might have done this, but where will you find a man to do it? No, verily—human nature as it is would never comply with the injunction.
Man has no right to allow his life to be taken away either by a wild animal or a wild man.
