How does the soul feel after death?

If a bulletin were issued, it might read like this―no change has been reported in Roger’s condition, other than his now feeling perfectly fit in bodily health. He is in the most cheerful spirits (as well as being with them), and is at this moment thoroughly enjoying himself if his face is any indication of the state of his mind. He is pleased to inform all theologians that he does not feel the least particle ‘pious’ or ‘holy,’ and is most thankful that he feels himself, and nobody else.
