Is kindness a golden rule?

A golden gem is kindness,

To seek it near and far

Is power that God has given us,

So give our thanks in prayer,

In great and glorious measure,

For, unlike an earthly treasure,

It never dims with wear—

But forever grows in splendour,

Until it flies through space and air

To God's all Highest kingdom

And finds a welcome there.
