The most unhappy beings of all who are in spirit life are the men and women who have given all their energies and mind to the accumulating of money and have not cultivated the higher faculties of the soul. These are the most wretched, the most poverty-stricken, and oftener than otherwise are homeless vagabonds, going about in rags and tatters, for their souls are often so poverty-stricken that they are not able to clothe themselves as spirits ought to be clothed.
