Does God allow immortality?

I have got it! Great God! I have found it!

What have you found?

That which all humanity have been seeking since the world began—immortality! There is no death!

How do you know?

Because I am here. I have passed the Rubicon. I have entered in at the straight gate, even the gate beautiful. Men call it death, but death and life are weird twin sisters. You pass from the hands of one directly into those of the other. 

Death is misnamed. She is really Life Eternal. 

Death is a phantom, but life is real. Life is earnest. Life is beautiful, crowned with the flowers of immortal youth. 

I thought I was growing old, and here I am youthful, strong and powerful, as a young lion—aye, I feel like a God. 

Ah! I realise now to the fullest extent the true meaning of all those old Greek gods. Symbols—symbols, my friends—nothing more.

Why do I feel like a God?

Because man is a god. That which I thought I did not know, I now know. To be immortal is to be a god. To never die—to live and learn forever is to be god, and they tell me here that immortality is all the god I shall ever know.
