The soul is free and must make its own progress. This does not mean that we should be selfish or self-centred, for love seeks the good and happiness of all regardless of earthly conditions. God’s love is the real sustaining force of the Universe. It is an active principle. It is given fully and freely to all. It rests with the individual to decide how much s/he is capable of assimilating His love.
