While we live on earth we are free to do our own will. After we leave the earth our free will ceases in just this sense. If we have been deterrent and choose to remain so, we are deterrent and only deterrent until such time as we choose to turn and seek God and Him alone, but if we chose to serve God and Him alone before we left the earth (or such of us as may make that choice here), we no longer do anything but the will of God.
