What does motive energy mean?

When one's motive is outside of self, that is apart from greed and sense gain, and when his aim is toward some work of value to his race instead of toward some benefit or accumulation for himself, he cannot escape success because it follows inevitably, but the moment the motive energy is degraded, and its intentive force points ever so slightly  toward money or fame, or any other sort of personal possession, the work itself becomes degraded, or lacking in magnetic power.

What is such a curious coincidence?

 Spirits are with you in the world, just as they were before, only you cannot see them.

They take their interest in life on the earth plane, especially in those things, which interested them while they were in the physical body. 

Spirits know something of the struggles and disappointments of earth souls, and much of the happiness, too―connected with this is their love and remembrance for the friends they have loved here.

It is all one world actually, and very much alike in some things, though widely different in others.

There are schools of all kinds in the spirit world, there are places of worship, there are glorious rivers and gardens and mountains and lakes, there is music and light and laughter, there is love unspeakable.

There is again the dark side of the picture. There is sorrowing and suffering and woe, but behind all the sadness, again is love unspeakable, and the final conquering of all that makes the sorrow and anguish, and peace and joy remain for every single soul.

But there is this to say, too. It cannot be earned for the soul, but by the soul. 

No soul, human or divine, can bear the burden for the other―each must carry his own pack and fight his way to the very, very end. 

No light task, well-nigh impossible sometimes, but there is much help if the soul will ask for it.

Always his own guide is with him to warn and advise, always will the Great Master Christ hear at once the very faintest cry for help.

The help comes in all sorts of different ways, and very often through a human instrument.

Help from the Master does not always mean a chap feeling better and comfortable inside, when he has been perhaps giving way to a certain temptation and been sorry for it afterwards, but sometimes he is brought into touch with another soul who can, and does give him the very help he wants.

Sometimes, he does not know it―sometimes the other soul if he is advanced spiritually sees at once that this is a soul who wants help, and understands that he has been brought into touch with him of set purpose through influence from this side.

There is no haphazard method of giving help―it is all done in order and with a very definite plan behind it.

A clearer view may be got by thinking of God, as breathing into the limited and time-and-space-bound-physical man, the breath of his being, and man became.

The eternal purpose that had always been, and always would be, was thus manifested in phenomena, and became for a time subject to bondage, that its full development might be attained by the fighting with that which seemed to be antagonistic to its Divine nature.

Do you know more of God than you did on earth?

What is ether?

Ether is one of the manifestations of the Life-force, it spreads through it like moisture in the air. Ether is not a power like electricity, ether is not a force in that way at all. It is a state or condition that pervades the Universe, changing in degree or character as you get farther from the earth plane.

Interpenetrating everything on earth, all the spheres, all the Universe, all space, is a tremendous power, which is God, or what (to simplify it) we call God-force. By this God-force, all things live. Its withdrawing means death.

When will your brain become a super brain?

 

God gave you thought as a test. 

He wanted to watch you in your growth, to watch you expand, and reflect the expression of His own thought―the thought of truth within the soul. 

Individual thought wrought the physical brain, and the distinction between the conscious, and the subconscious mind. The soul and the subconscious mind are God's expression, and idea.

The conscious mind and brain are the instruments by which you may express yourself physically, mentally, and spiritually. When you overcome the desire to use your individual thought for gross and material purposes, you will advance―

Your brain will become a super brain, and your consciousness become one with the soul, and the subconscious. 

You must learn to make your individual thought express that Godlike thought, which is of the soul, and then you, not theoretically, but actually, will be one with God—
