Finding the spark within?

The I AM / Ego

In the sevenfold model from A Dweller on Two Planets, the I AM is the highest, most refined principle of an individual's composition. It is the localised point of divine awareness within a person—the Spiritual Spark. It acts as the ultimate controller or director of the lower six vehicles (the mind, emotions, and body). It is the direct, unmediated presence of the Father anchoring itself into human nature.

The Oversoul is the singular, infinite sea of divine consciousness that wraps around and infuses everything.

Emerson writes We live in succession, in division, in parts, in particles. Meantime within man is the soul of the wholethe wise silencethe universal beauty, to which every part and particle is equally relatedthe eternal ONE. It is not a personalised deity, but a vast spiritual reservoir. When a person reaches the level of Spirit, their individual soul dissolves into this supreme entity.

The Drop and the Ocean

The I AM is the drop of waterthe Oversoul is the infinite ocean. They are identical in substance but differ in scope. We can only see God as a Perfect Person because our consciousness has not evolved past the lower souls. However, those who activate their highest spiritual principles break past personhood and experience God directly from the level of Spirit—which is the level of the Oversoul.

When you align your consciousness fully with the I AM, they hook into the Oversoul.

This allows you to tap into the Vita Mundi (Life of the World) to manifest physical changes, such as the instantaneous growth of plants, because they are acting in alignment with the collective divine will.

Have you ever felt like there is a deeper, wiser version of you waiting to be discovered?

In esoteric philosophy, human beings are often described as multi-layered puzzles. At our surface, we have our physical bodies, our daily habits, and our racing emotions. But at our absolute core sits what ancient texts call the I AM (or the Ego).

Think of the I AM as your ultimate Higher Self.

It isn't your brain, your job or your personality. Instead, it is the quiet, unchanging observer inside you. It is a direct drop of divine consciousness anchored inside your physical body. It is the true source of your willpower and intention. When you say I am, you are tapping into this deep well of existence.

We are all swimming in a massive, invisible ocean of divine energy and wisdom.

The Oversoul is the universal spirit that connects every single person, animal, plant, and star. It is completely impersonal, boundless, and purely loving.

To understand how these two concepts interact, imagine a single drop of water and the vast ocean.

The I AM is the individual drop of water. The Oversoul is the entire ocean. They are made of the exact same divine substance, but one is localised inside you, while the other is everywhere at once.

Most of the time, we live in our lower, everyday minds—focusing on survival, stress, and physical needs. Because of this narrow view, we tend to think of the divine as something far away, like a person sitting in the clouds.

But when you quiet your mind and connect with your inner I AM, you open a doorway to the Oversoul. You realise you aren't separate from the Universeyou are a vital part of it.

Philosophers believe that when you fully align with this higher state, your words and intentions gain incredible power, allowing you to create meaningful, positive changes in your life and the world around you.
