The customary effect of water feels more like a warm cloak thrown round one than the penetration of liquid.
The magnetic effect of the water is the revivifying force, which envelops the whole body, pouring new life into it.
It is delightfully warm and completely buoyant.
It is possible to stand upright in it—to float upon it—to sink completely beneath its surface without the least discomfort—or danger.
The spirit is indestructible.
Beyond this magnetic influence, there is an added assurance that comes from the water—its essential friendliness.
That the water is living you can have no doubt.
It breathes its very goodness by its contact, and extends its heavenly influence individually to all who come within it.
You experience a spiritual exaltation, as well as a vital regeneration to such an extent that you quite forget your initial hesitancy, and the fact that you are fully clothed.
It penetrates the material just as air—or atmosphere on earth will do, but it has left no visible—or palpable effect whatever.
You and your clothes are perfectly dry.
And now another word about the water.
It is as clear as crystal, and the light is reflected back in every ripple and tiny wave in almost dazzlingly bright colours.
It is unbelievably soft to the touch, and its buoyancy is of the same nature as the atmosphere, that is to say, it supports whatever is on it—or in it.
All their movements are in direct response to their minds, and spirit-lives cannot come to harm—or suffer accident.
