How were the miracles of Christ performed?

That question was raised even in Christ's day, and He was accused of casting out devils by the help of devils, but he denied the charge, and because of their want of faith did not reply to their questions concerning his power. 

His acts were all in accordance with law, and were not supernatural―

The power proceeded from himself by whom the worlds were made. 

Study them by all means, but do not suppose you can learn them through your intelligence. 

All power must come to you in the appointed way, and you have been told the way. 

I do not see exactly how you expect to obtain spiritual power through your present effort.

Was it by the purity of Christ's spirit that he performed his miracles? 

He performed them because the same manifestation of the Godhead that was visible in Christ was the power that made the universe, and as the greater contains the less, He who had made all could make the fragments.

Did Christ give his disciples occult power to perform miracles? 

He gave them unusual power, which they used on various occasions. 

When the necessity, for convincing men through their senses was removed, this power was no longer given to the followers of Christ.

Can one attain to the power of Christ and his disciples in this world? 

Not in this life, for humanity is not ready to have such power given to it.

Does spiritual advancement through Christ help us to avoid further incarnations? 

Yes―that is the only way to perfect your humanity. 

He was given as the pattern man, and the nearer you approach his standard, the sooner will your probation end―

You return to earth because you see that to be the shortest road to attain perfection!

Then we return to earth again and again? 

Yes―to this earth you now inhabit or some other material objective life.
